Our client a retail nursery in North Kildare are seeking to hire a Manager for the centre. This personal will be the overall manager and will be responsible for all aspects of running the operation, under the direction of senior management. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious retail horticulturist, assistant manager etc to progress to management.
What is required of you:
- You will maintain company standards in all areas of the work
- Customer care: To maintain strong relationships with existing customers, deal with any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner. Uphold the company’s high standards.
- Project Management: To ensure that your projects are managed in a timely and professional manner, develop & maintain procedures and targets for your Contracts.
- Paperwork and administration: Maintain and implement the companies Procedures
- Financial duties, including, Responsibility for the maintenance of our minimum gross margin on Orders & for accurate and timely payment for all of your suppliers, as per financial control procedure.
- We provide exceptional levels of customer care and operate at the very top end of international plant supply. We operate a small business with a close team and you will be expected to assist other team members as required to ensure the smooth running of the company.
Skills and Attributes required:
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers at senior levels to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.
- Maintain & update the reporting templates in order to ensure that all work is being completed in a timely manner. Maintain accurate information on points and time of contact.
- You will have suitable qualifications (ideally in Horticulture) and in other key areas possibly with a desire to further your qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office – Outlook, word & excel. Nursery management software knowledge would be good but not essential
- 5 years plus experience in Horticulture Nursery &/or Retail or related.
- Honest and straight forward communication is essential with our customers and team. A pleasant and positive manner with team members & Customers
